Pantry Story Bakery feels like walking into a warm hug — the kind that smells like butter, sugar, and someone’s childhood memory. It’s tiny, charming, and buzzing with locals who clearly know they’re onto something good. We popped in for a little brunch‑snack adventure, and honestly, the forks were very happy.

🍽️ What We Ordered & How It Stacked Up
🍫 Neapolitan Capybara
Pure whimsy. A soft, sweet, layered treat that tastes exactly like the Neapolitan ice‑cream trio you grew up with — but in adorable capybara form. Strawberry hits first, chocolate rounds it out, vanilla ties it together. Nostalgic, cute, and surprisingly balanced. Dessert‑for‑breakfast energy.
🍃 Pandan Mochi Cookie with Palm Sugar
Chewy, bouncy mochi centre wrapped in a soft cookie shell, with that fragrant pandan aroma that makes you pause before biting. The palm sugar adds a deep caramel warmth that keeps it from tipping too sweet. Texture lovers, this one is your moment.
🌶️ Chilli, Spinach & Cheese Triangle
Flaky, golden, and gently spicy. The chilli gives a soft kick, the spinach adds savoury depth, and the cheese brings creamy comfort. It’s the kind of pastry you finish before you realise you’ve started. Perfect warm, perfect handheld, perfect with a drink.

🍹 Pomegranate Soda
Bright, refreshing, and just tart enough to reset your palate between bites. Pretty, bubbly, and brunch‑spritz coded.

Final Thoughts
Pantry Story Bakery delivers fun, creative ideas — the kind of snacks that make you smile — but it’s not a place we’d travel across Sydney for.
The Neapolitan Capybara is a cute gimmick (and worth trying once), the cookie was genuinely delicious, and the chilli, spinach & cheese triangle is the one thing we’d happily drop in for again. We’re also keen to try the rendang curry pastry next time.
With so many bakeries competing for attention, this one lands in the “if we’re already in the area” category.
Forks say: a playful pit‑stop, not a destination.
